We know when Below Deck Mediterranean season nine will premiere in Australia

It’s obviously great news that Below Deck Mediterranean is returning, but what does that mean for Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under?

There are currently five different iterations of Below Deck; the OG, Down Under, Mediterranean, Sailing Yacht and Adventure, so their release order can get confusing. However, if you’re feeling like it’s been a minute since BDDU and BDSY aired, then you’d be right on the money.

The last Med season finished airing in January 2024, while the last Sailing Yacht season concluded in July 2023, and Down Under in September 2023. However, it’s been announced that BDM will be the next season on our screens.

Plus, to cast even more doubt about Below Deck Down Under, the series’ chief stew Aesha Scott has been busy filming season nine of Below Deck Mediterranean, begging the question of when she’d have time to film BDDU.

Regardless, we’re stoked to know that Aesha will be back on our screens, along with a whole brand new season of Below Deck.

Where did Below Deck Mediterranean season eight leave off?

Below Deck fans will remember that BDM was a fuster cluck between chief stew Tumi Mhlongo, and stew Kyle Viljoen and Natalya Scudder.

However unlike most seasons of the Below Deck franchise, absolutely no one – aside from Captain Sandy Yawn – will be returning from season eight either. Which is… interesting.

When will it be released and how can you watch it?

Below Deck Mediterranean season nine will air on Hayu on Monday, June 4, the same day as the US.

Who’s in the cast?

Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Aesha are the only returning cast members. Bosun Iain Maclean will be in charge of the deckhands, Gael Cameron, Joe Bradley and Nathan Gallager.

Bri Muller and Elena Dubaich are stews and Johnathan Shillingford is the chef.
