We’ve got your first-look images from season 6 of The Crown feat Prince William and Kate Middleton

The resemblance is uncanny.

Netflix’ The Crown is entering a new decade in season six and this time Prince William is all grown up.

Inspired by real events, the series is a fictional dramatisation of the story of the late Queen Elizabeth II and the political and personal events that shaped her reign.

Here’s everything we know so far.

What will season 6 of The Crown be about?

In the latest instalment Prince William (Ed McVey) starts at University in St Andrew’s, determined to lead as normal a life as possible while he still can. Also beginning life as a University student, is Kate Middleton (newcomer Meg Bellamy) from Berkshire. As the pair meet for the first time on campus, a new romance and a new future for The Crown begins.

While the series will involve their romance, we will not get a glimpse until later on in the season with a time jump.

When will The Crown‘s sixth season premiere?

No release date has yet been released; however, we’re already hitting the alert for when it does!

Imelda Staunton. Netflix.

Who is in the cast?

Alongside Bellamy and McVey is returning Queen, Imelda Staunton, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Australia’s very own Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.

Bertie Carvel will on the role of Tony Blair, while Salim Daw plays Mohamed Al Fayed and Khalid Abdalla will portray Dodi Fayed.

Luther Ford will portray the controversial Prince Harry with Rufus Kampa and Flynn Edwards take on the roles of the young princes in earlier episodes.

Is there a trailer?

Unfortunately, no trailer has been released yet, but we do have some pics of McVey and Bellamy on set.

Where was The Crown filmed?

McVey and Bellamy filmed scenes in St Andrews, Scotland earlier this year- enjoying some of the real life locations that their characters frequented twenty years ago.
