My Kitchen Rules 2023 has checked off their standard mother-and-child-team-box with Sonia and Marcus.

However, the Adelaide-based mum-and-son duo are far from cookie-cutter. With Italian, quite literally, in their blood, they’ve got some impressive European cooking skills to bring to the kitchen.

The food-loving family team also fight like cats and dogs and is sure to bring some entertainment to the season, as well as some mouth-watering Italian food.

“If they [the judges and the guest teams] could see what was going on, they would think they were at the circus,” Sonia says of her and Marcus’s dynamic in the kitchen.

My Kitchen Rules will premiere on Channel 7 on Monday, September 4.
