Bondi’s six-week winter festival serves as living proof that you can still have fun at the beach even in this cold weather (bathing suites not recommended). This year there are loads of activities from ice-skating to yoga on the beach to camel rides. Keep an eye out for other activities like Art on the Streets, Bondi Markets, guided walks and the commencing Town Hall music jam on Sunday July 31.

WE WILL ROCK YOU is the worldwide smash hit musical by Queen and Ben Elton (Young Ones, Black Adder), that is guaranteed to blow your mind. Now, finally it is your chance to witness the show that to dazzles the senses in breathtaking style as it returns to Sydney for the first time since 2004. This show tells the tale of an Earth run by the powerful Globalsoft Corporation, who have banned all non-corporation music. Needless to say, this is a story about how the epic power of rock always prevails and, as you would expect from a show of that nature, there are plenty of crazy rock ballads to get the blood pumping. Celebrate cultural diversity in the Inner West with ten days of mini festivals and events in Marrickville. There will be community get-togethers, exhibitions in the streets, markets, films and music. The Chrissie Cotter Gallery will showcase works by talented artists of refugee backgrounds. On Monday the 23rd you can witness the premiere screening of Faraway… So Close to Homeland, a documentary covering the plight of ten Syrian refugees. From the 26th to 28th you can participate in dance and music workshops from Latin American and Indigenous Australian communities. There is also a Balkan Bonanza which is a feast of traditional costumes, food, music, dance and performances from the Balkan countries: Greece, Croatia, Macedonia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
