What will Accused be about and who is in the star-studded cast?

“Every one of them stands accused. Can you see who is telling the truth?”

Across 15 episodes, Accused will explore a different crime, in a different city, with an entirely original star-studded cast.

The key players include: Rachel Bilson (The O.C.), Abigail Breslin (My Sister’s Keeper), Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four), Whitney Cummings (2 Broke Girls), Jack Davenport (Smash), Margo Martindale (Cocaine Bear), Molly Parker (Deadwood), Rhea Perlman (Matilda), Wendell Pierce (Suits) and Malcolm-Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show).

Are the stories in Accused real?

According to Decider, the series is not based on real stories, however, some are definitely inspired by true events.

The original BBC version first aired on 15 November 2010 and ran for two seasons.

Each episode followed a different character as they awaited their verdict in court, and told the story behind how they find themselves accused.

Accused premieres 9.00pm Tuesday, 25 April on Channel 7 and 7plus.
