MasterChef Season 16 is set to be unlike any other and now we have the first look and start date

MasterChef Australia is ushering in a brand-new era for Season 16 in 2024 and we officially have a start date!

Twenty-two brand-new home cooks will enter the infamous kitchen, ready to test their skills, hoping to be the last chef standing while battling it out with a bevvy of new Pressure Tests, Elimination Challenges and all-in group tasks.

Andy Allen will return to carry on Jock Zonfrillo’s legacy alongside three new judges, alumnus Poh Ling Yeow, food critic and journalist Sofia Levin, and multi–Michelin Star award-winning chef, Jean-Christophe Novelli.

On March 12, Network 10 announced that Season 16 would begin on Monday, April 22 at 7:30 pm and promises a “fusion of familiarity and novelty as both fresh faces and beloved alumni come together, crafting a reimagined family steeped in gastronomic excellence.”

In addition to this, we also received our first look at the new cast and the tagline: “Exceptional, exhilarating, extraordinary — there’s never been a season like this!”
