Kylie Jenner Responds to Her ‘F’ Rated Cosmetics Line

The Better Business Bureau, a not-for-profit organisation focused on advancing marketplace trust, consists of 112 independently incorporated local BBB organizations in the US and Canada. The BBB became a talking point when they rated Kylie Cosmetics an ‘F’ for FAIL.  They stated that the factors that lowered the rating for Kylie Cosmetics were:
  • The length of time business has been operating
  • The 294 complaints that were filed against business
  • Kylie Cosmetics team’s failure to “resolve underlying causes of a pattern of complaints”
The Lip Kits, which retail for $29 USD ($38.50 AUD), are far too expensive to be arriving in bad condition, or not reaching the customer at all. Often, the Lip Kits appear on eBay and Gumtree for ten times the original price, with customers aiming to make profit from the much sought after beauty products. With many bad reviews from various beauty bloggers, social media outbursts, and stories of Lip Kits being delivered where the product has spilled everywhere and the wand was damaged, you can imagine the inbox of the customer service team. Although they are constantly bombarded with complaints, the team apparently don’t do much at all to resolve the issues.
Kylie, being a Kardashian half-sister, couldn’t hold back a public social media response to the BBB ‘coming for [her] business’ and calling the organization ‘haters.’

Perhaps if Kylie spent more time improving her business procedures and her customer service, rather than coming up with witty social media responses and Snapchat selfies, this wouldn’t be an issue in the first place.
