FWAW host Sam Armytage has revealed that she was shocked by Farmer Brad and Clare’s pregnancy announcement, and she said she expected them “least of all” from the 2023 couples to get pregnant first.

“I think it was a bit of a surprise to them too but they are over the moon so that’s great,” Sam told 7Life.

Armytage added that she doesn’t believe the couple was planning to conceive so soon after meeting on Farmer Wants a Wife.

“I think it just sort of happened. I think they were a bit shocked too, but no it’s good news.”

How did Brad and Clare announce their baby news?

The happy couple announced their exciting pregnancy news in an interview with New Idea.

“We didn’t think it would happen as quick as it did,” Brad told the magazine.

They also shared some sweet photos on Instagram.

“We’re so excited to meet our newest little farm hand! Baby Jones due December 🥰,” Clare captioned a photo of her, Brad and some tiny horseriding boots.

Meanwhile, Brad posted a pic of them both holding up a small baby onesie.

“Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to congratulate us on our exciting news. We can’t wait to meet Baby Jones come December,” he captioned the pic.

“We never would have met, let alone starting a family together if we didn’t go on the Farmer wants a wife journey so if you’re looking at finding your life partner why not put yourself our there look at us couldn’t be happier so go on why not.”

How long have Brad and Clare been together?

Brad and Clare met on season 13 of FWAW, which was filmed late last year and aired in April 2023.

“I started this journey with the hope to fall in love with someone and I am. I’m falling in love with you and I’m very excited about what the future has in store for us,” Brad told his baby-mama-to-be at the finale.
