Channel 10’s First Dates Australia is returning for a fifth season of love, lust, heartbreak and everything in between.

Get ready to experience the excitement and awkwardness of a first date with the newest batch of love-seeking singletons.

First Dates Australia will take the audience on a heart-warming, heart-breaking and occasionally heart-stopping fly-on-the-wall dating journey.

In the trailer, we see ten individuals meet their potential love interest for the first time while being asked ‘do you believe in love at first sight?’

A contestant on the show named Dawn told the cameras: “Being in love is probably the most wonderful feeling you can ever experience in your life.”

The trailer shows Dawn matched with Phil, a special education teacher who brings a toy koala to the date.

Another contestant asks: “Are you nervous?” with his partner cheekily replying: “Yeah, I’m fricken nervous.”

Yeah no pressure, just the whole of Australia is watching your potential first date fails.

The preview end with two contestants talking to the First Dates booth about a future date with one of them awkwardly getting their partners name wrong.

What are the chances of saying yes to that?

Each episode, audiences will experience five first dates at the Maître D’ Giacomo restaurant, accompanied by the witty opinions of staff members, James, Luka and Ama.

The hidden cameras capture all the excitement to make it feel like we are right there with them.

First Dates Australia originally premiered on the Seven Network in 2016, but was axed in 2020 after four seasons. After a year hiatus, Channel 10 confirmed they would pick up the show for a 2021 reboot.

So, do you believe in love at first sight?

First Dates Australia is a Warner Bros. production for Network 10.

Coming soon to 10 and 10 Play On Demand.
