During the last seconds of 2016, Disney decided to release an official 30 second audio snippet from the upcoming Beauty and the Beast live-action film. This sneaky move was in response to a leaked recording of a Belle musical doll circulated the internet, featuring some rather hazy vocals from Emma Watson.
Nonetheless, Disney tweeted the snippet of “Something There” with the hashtag #BeOurGuest. The song perfectly describes the moment Belle realises the Beast may not be such a beast after all:
“True that he’s no Prince Charming / But there’s something in him that I simply didn’t see.”
And if you haven’t had a guess already, Watson’s vocals are as sweet and lovely as her character, only further adding to the hype around this film.
A full length trailer has already been released, showcasing the stunning imagery of the castle, as well as our favourite inanimate objects sprung to life. Ewan McGregor and Ian McKellen star as Lumiere and Cogsworth respectively, with the Beast himself played by Downton Abbey‘s Dan Stevens. With such a stellar cast, the film is bound to sweep any and all Disney fans off our feet.
Without further ado, be our guest and have a listen to the snippet.
