"My Log Has Something To Tell You" Twin Peaks Has Premiere Date

We have some “damn fine” news for all you Twin Peaks fans out there.

American streaming platform Showtime has confirmed the Twin Peaks season 3 premiere date: May 21.

25 years after the last Twin Peaks installment aired (Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me), the start date for season 3 is finally locked in.

Showtime have an exclusive licensing agreement with the Australian streaming platform Stan, so for Aussies, the premiere will be May 22.

The new season will consist of 18 hours worth of new mind-bending, backward talking goodness, starting with a two hour-long premiere. Episodes 3 and 4 will be available straight after the premiere, with subsequent episodes available on a weekly basis after the premiere.

Showtime’s president, David Nevins, stated at the Television Critics Association press tour:

“David Lynch is one of the great film masters of my lifetime. I think this is the pure heroin version of David Lynch and I’m excited to put it out.”

Nevins revealed about the series, “the core of it [season 3] is Agent Cooper’s odyssey back to Twin Peaks.”

Despite the hype and nostalgia the new session will whip up, Twin Peaks will only be returning for 1 season. But don’t let that fool you into expecting a season with no loose ends or cliff hangers from The Black Lodge.

So, get your coffee beans and donuts ready for May 22, and let the journey begin…again.

As Agent Dale Cooper wisely says,

“…I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.”
