The Sydney Symphony Orchestra are finally answering the cries of Aussie Harry Potter fans, announcing TWO live performances of the score from the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
The film will be playing alongside the orchestra so you can relive all the movie magic while hearing the soundtrack in its full symphonic glory. Performances are scheduled for Thursday April 27 and Friday April 28 2017, however tickets go on sale 9am October 15 (that’s this Saturday).
Tickets to this awesome event aren’t cheap, ranging from $50 to $140. However if you’re a mad keen Potterhead it’s definitely worth the price to hear the score performed live alongside the film. I mean, can you imagine how majestic it’s going to sound in the Opera House when they see Hogwarts for the first time, or when they go into The Great Hall?
I definitely can. If I wasn’t a broke university student who had just spent their last dollar on Justin Bieber tickets, I’d be there in a heart beat. It might be a good time to start budgeting…
