Real Life Hero Marathons 94 Hours of TV

I once attempted to watch all of the Harry Potter movies in a single day, and by the end I found myself gently rocking back and forth in the fetal position, whispering under my breath “no more Harry Potter, no more Harry Potter”.

One man has put me and the rest of the world to utter shame by absolutely obliterating what most people are capable of and taking home the Guinness World Record for longest television binge with a whopping 94 hour marathon.

Just to put that into perspective, Alejandro Fragoso (the victor of this triumphant tale), began watching on Friday-April 8th and did not finish until 5am Tuesday 12th. Keep in mind, this meant no sleeping and only short breaks to eat and use the bathroom, what a soldier!

Over the course of five days, Fragoso watched back-to-back episodes Game of Thrones, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Battlestar Galactica, Twilight Zone, Bob’s Burgers and Adventure Time in a promotional stunt sponsored by multimedia software company CyberLink.

Sounds like a pretty sweet gig right? Make no mistake, this was no easy task for our hero. His experience left him with an elevated heart rate and severe neurological side effects, including involuntary open-eyed micro naps and acute hallucinations. He was the last man standing out of three contestants, meaning two people opted out after the toll was too much for them.

“Throughout this process I learned that binge-watching TV for abnormally long durations can actually be quite physically taxing.” Well said Fragoso, well said. He certainly knows how to under sell his efforts, but luckily the internet is here to make sure he gets full recognition for his unusual achievement.

Congratulations, Fragoso, you dead set legend.
